19th Century French Caquetoire Walnut ArmchairA fine example of a French caquetoire chair or also known as a conversation chair. The name derives from the French word caqueter, meaning "to chatter" or "gossip. This example dates to the middle of 19th century and is made from solid walnut throughout with four turned legs and all round stretchers. It features shapely armrests with double supports to each arm and a decorative carved back panel. The chair comes in completely original solid condition

Back Height - 95cm

The table is in good solid condition with wear to the pine frame especially the front stretcher

The table will have been made for a church showing in the quality of the timber and construction

Seat depth - 51cm

The chair is large in size with extra long leg rests and is a fine example in very good condition

A walnut lowboy dating to the late part of the 19th century

In very good condition and is signed underneath

The armchair has a great shape and would work well in a antique or modern setting
