1980s Maxon ST-01 Super Tubescreamer Vintage Overdrive PedalThe ST 01 was a lesser known version of the highly sought after Super Tubescreamer range. Using the same PCB as the Ibanez Maxon ST 9, the ST 01 features a warm smooth overdrive (like any vintage tubescreamer) and includes an added mid boost control before the overdrive. The Drive knob controls the amount of overdrive, the Level knob controls the output volume, the Mid Boost knob controls the level of mid range frequencies and the Tone knob controls

Believed to be a custom order from one of ESP's Japanese dealers in the 1990's

the MGS-Standard was the signature model for Chage of the Japanese duo Chage & Aska

It's known that both Tokai and ESP have made copies of it and this looks like exactly the same specs as those but there's no way to confirm the builder unfortunately

it appears all original with Maxon made humbuckers (chrome covered on the 12 and zebra uncovered on the 6) that have plenty of clarity and bite
