Vistaite Jasper Cabochon 25.8ctThe rarest of jaspers, Vistaite is an old stock mined out stone from a ridge above Walton Lake, in the Ochoco Mountains, Oregon. The deposit has been extinct for decades. Recent reports of finds have been realised to be misidentified examples of nearby Skaggs or Ochoco Green Jasper rather then Vistaite. Discovered and mined in the 60s by Oregon rock shop owners Hoot Elkins and Shirts Quant, our supplier sourced material from Hoot's daughter Judy
