Lot 081 - Antique Brass Bookbinding Type Holder with Wood Handle, Manufactured by Hoole Machine & Engineering Works, Brooklyn, New York, 10-3/4" WAntique brass bookbinding type holder with a turned wood handle, used for hand stamping gilt lettering onto book spines and covers. The adjustable brass frame features two channels for setting individual brass type, with thumbscrew knobs at each end to lock the type in place. The body is stamped with a diamond shaped maker's mark reading "Hoole," "Mach. & Eng. Works," "Brooklyn, New York." The brass shows overall patina and tarnish. The wood handle
