Laguna Lace agate Cabochon 25.5ctLaguna Lace Agate is exclusively found in the mountain ranges of Chihuahua, Mexico. The area is very remote and is only 4 square miles. This gemstone often shows really vibrant colours and really intricate and interesting banding details. We used to see quite a lot of this material some 10 years ago but it is becoming increasingly hard to get. We still see it frequently as tumble stones but the larger chunks of the rock seem to be disappearing.

These pieces often contain large fractures making this material more difficult cut and orientate when trying to find a part of the slab that shows the finished piece in the best possible way
