Lot 057 - Pair of Antique Skater's Lanterns with Glass Globes and Perforated Tops, 7" H eachPair of antique skater's lanterns with round bases, smooth pear shaped glass globes, and perforated ventilated tops with dome caps. One lantern has a brass toned base and wire carry handle; the other has a darker tin base, a wire carry handle, and a thumb turn wick adjuster on the font. Both lanterns show oxidation and patina throughout. The globes have light scratching and residue.
It is marked "Kirchhof" and "Newark N
with wear to leather
Retains casters on cabriole legs for ease of movement
It is made of painted composition and has a red shirt and black pants
" Goodwin operated at the Crown Pottery Works in Longton
a 19th century American silver company out of Meriden
though one of the horse's hind legs is broken off at the ankle
a dancing Punch figure
with some illustrations appearing on the verso of color cards
